davins art book entry numoro unoooooo!

here i am, at work setting up a blog for school.

"Why are you setting up a blog for school?"

my co-worker Jake asks. I look to him with out turning my head and state,

"Cause its the technological age man. we have to communicate faster and faster or we are gonna die."

needless to say he replies, "What do blogs have to do with art? besides getting the word out? There's nothing visually stimulating about a blog."

"An assignment is an assignment" i say.

First week of school:

I have foundations, which will be cool after we get down to the nitty gritty and start getting thought the getting to know you stuff.
Painting looks like its going to be amazing! i think its going to be a lot of fun to try out new techniques and working around other visually stimulating material from other artists.
I have a histories of humanities class that focuses on current affairs as it pertains to your subjective personal interests.
I also have a European 20th century thought class that seems like its going to provide me with a lot of new ideas for my paintings and so on. its exciting!
On Fridays i have a class where we go through these different mini clusters, the first one is with this teacher Kristin and where going to be doing this visual documentation project where we document boring, and often over looked things in the street and draw and watercolor them. in doing so, we personalize the kind of banal object and make it an intimate experience for the veiwer (i.e. the casual passer by). this project im the most interested in right now due to the fact that after where done we are going to document the documenting and make a collection of photographs for a book and publish it! wow! woah wowah!

home work this week:
a.)buy books for classes
b.)make geometric shape thing for foundations (check)
c.)do drawings for Friday mini cluster (workin' on it)
d.)find some interesting news for history of humanities class (what the hell interests me?)
